Well… I guess I can officially add “award-winning” to The Bourbon Babe now!

I am incredibly excited (and still a little shocked!) to share that The Bourbon Babe was voted Best of Boulder City 2026 in the New Business Under 1 Year category.

Of all the milestones this business has reached during its first year, this one feels especially meaningful because it came from the people of Boulder City.


What a First Year


When I started The Bourbon Babe, I knew what I wanted it to be: professional without being stuffy, fun without sacrificing quality, and completely different from your typical bartending service.

I wanted to take more than 20 years of experience in bartending and hospitality and turn it into something of my own.

What started with mobile bartending has grown into so much more.

Over this first year, I've had the opportunity to bartend weddings, birthdays, graduations, grand openings, private parties and community events. I've created custom cocktail and mocktail menus, taught mixology classes, hosted whiskey experiences, brought out the cocktail smoker more times than I can count, and partnered with other local businesses to create some seriously fun experiences.

I've made a LOT of drinks.

I've hauled a LOT of bar equipment.

And I've learned a LOT about owning a business along the way. 😂

But more importantly, I've met some incredible people.


Winning in My Own Community Means Something Different


There are awards that look great hanging on a wall, and then there are awards that genuinely mean something.

Best of Boulder City means something to me.

This wasn't decided by a panel of judges somewhere. People in our community took the time to vote for the businesses, organizations and individuals they believe deserve recognition.

People chose The Bourbon Babe.

That's pretty incredible.

Boulder City has embraced this business in ways I couldn't have predicted when I started. Local businesses have partnered with me. Clients have trusted me with some of their biggest celebrations. People have attended my classes and events, shared my posts, recommended me to friends, and continued to invite The Bourbon Babe back.

Every one of those things helped get this business here.

We're not slowing down.

There are more events to create, more cocktails to dream up, more classes to teach, more collaborations to build and probably more than a few ideas floating around in my head that haven't made it into the world yet.

What's New at The Bourbon Babe? Upcoming Events, Whiskey Tastings & Mixology Classes

If you've been following along for a while, you may have noticed it's been a little quiet here on the blog lately. Life has been busy—in the best possible way! Between planning events, meeting amazing people, and creating new experiences for the community, I've had my hands full. So, I figured it was time for a quick update on everything that's happening with The Bourbon Babe.

First, I'm excited to announce several new public events and partnerships that are kicking off this year!

I've partnered with Rock N' Beauty in Boulder City to help create fun community-focused events throughout the year. From Father's Day celebrations and family-friendly gatherings to special seasonal events, we're bringing people together and creating memorable experiences right here in our community.

For my whiskey lovers, I'm launching a brand-new whiskey tasting series with The Dam Dog House called Whiskey & Woofs. These classes are designed to be fun, educational, and approachable whether you're brand new to whiskey or already have a favorite bottle on your shelf. We'll explore different styles, learn tasting techniques, and even dive into cocktail demonstrations.

I'm also thrilled to be partnering with Silver State Lampworking for a unique monthly experience that combines creativity and cocktails. Guests will enjoy mini mixology classes while collecting a limited-edition shot glass each month as part of the series. It's a fun way to learn new drink-making skills while building a one-of-a-kind collection.

With all of these public events coming up, you might be wondering if I'm still available for private events.

The answer is absolutely yes!

While I'm excited about these new public offerings, private events remain the heart of what I do. I am still booking mobile bartending services for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, holiday gatherings, fundraisers, and private celebrations throughout Southern Nevada and beyond.

I'm also continuing to offer private mixology classes for groups, team-building events, bachelorette parties, and special occasions. In addition, I'll soon be expanding my educational offerings with mocktail mixology classes—perfect for corporate groups, youth organizations, wellness events, and anyone who wants all the fun of mixology without the alcohol.
